Instructor/Assistant Professor – Paramedic Science

This position is a full-time, non-tenure track, benefits-eligible, 11-month term faculty position teaching EMS Education courses in the Career & Technical Division.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred. Other requirements for the position include: National Registry of EMT’s Certified Paramedic and State of West Virginia Certified Paramedic or eligible to attain state certification. Candidate must also meet the State of WV EMS Instructor requirements; ACLS, PHTLS, PALS or PEPP certified, Instructor status preferred.
Qualified applicant must have teaching experience in post-secondary and/or vocational/technical education with experience in instructional and educational theory and techniques.

Duties: Full-time faculty are responsible for preparing and teaching courses on the Huntington campus and may be assigned to off-campus locations. Full-time faculty maintain accurate records on students, develop new educational materials and media, assist with curriculum review, advise and counsel students, and hold office hours. Full-time faculty perform professional duties and participate in departmental and institutional functions, including meetings and committee work. This position may require off-campus or evening teaching responsibilities and/or online education.
