IMPORTANT NOTICE: 30-day comment period is now opened for the following: Legislative Rule 64 CSR 48-6.2.15.a-c for a thirty-day public comment period from September 4 through October 4, 2020. This rule addition is in regard to prehospital care providers wearing proper Personal Protection Equipment when within 6-feet of the public and while in direct proximity to a patient. IMPORTANT NOTICE: 30-day comment period is now opened for the following: the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services hereby submits Policies and Treatments Protocol 9206 - BLS Pre-Established Treatment Monitoring for a thirty-day public comment period from August 25, 2020 through September 24, 2020.This protocol applies specifically to BLS providers who are transporting patients with preestablished treatment modalities to home or extended care facilities. This protocol DOES NOT apply to interfacility transports. BLS pre-established treatment monitoring is limited to Jackson-Pratt (JP) drain tubes, chest tubes, and IV therapy.
