The WV Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program is having its 5th Annual EMSC Pediatric Symposium on June 28, 2017 at the WV RETI Training Center in Flatwoods, WV. This will be a one-time offering, and registration will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Funding for this symposium was provided by the Hospital Preparedness Program grant. I have attached a brochure that outlines the speakers and topics. This Symposium is being provided at no-cost.
Education and training for treating the pediatric patient is of the utmost importance. Participant space will be limited to 150 Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Field Providers, emergency department and acute care personnel. Registration will be handled online at www.wvoems.org/onlineregistration. If you are an EMS Field Provider, you must register at BOTH www.wvoems.org/onlineregistration and in CIS https://cis.emspic.org/CIS/Go to receive continuing education (see attachment for instructions). Nurses need to register ONLY at www.wvoems.org/onlineregistration.
Continuing Education for EMS field providers have been approved for 5.4 hours and Nursing Continuing Education is pending approval. Don't miss this one-time training opportunity! Please be aware currently no soda, water, or vending machines are available in this training center. I will, however, be providing coffee. If coffee is not your drink of choice, you may want to make a stop prior to arriving at the training center. I look forward to seeing you on June 28th!
