January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month and today, January 11, is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.  This day has been designated by Presidential Proclamation since 2010. It does happen in WV.  The National Human Trafficking Hotline has had 221 calls related to human trafficking and 65 cases of human trafficking reported in WV alone.

Below is a link to a brief video that will tell you more about what human trafficking is, how to identify if a patient is a victim, and how to report human trafficking.  Please take just a few moments to watch the video to increase your awareness of human trafficking.
