AMBULANCE BAY - ST. MARY'S MEDICAL CENTER
Unfortunately due to construction issues affecting the elevated crosswalk from the Heart Institute building / Emergency Department we have had to make temporary changes to EMS access to the ER at St. Mary's.
Emergency Patients - Currently the Collis Ave access to the ambulance bay is closed. For emergency patients please follow the posted signage on 29th St. directing ambulances to the front of the ER for unloading at the front of the ambulance bay and progress to the EMS/ambulance entrance which is open.
Non-Emergency Patients - When transporting non-emergency / convalescent patients, please progress to the back entrance at the end of 29th St. where there are three ambulance parking spaces blocked. This is the "old ER" entrance directly across for stone wall perpendicular to 29th St.
I sincerely regret any difficulty that this may create for your crews. This should be a temporary issue and we are working diligently with to rectify and reopen to the standard ambulance traffic pattern/arrival route as soon as possible.
Please feel free to contact these individuals at any time with questions or challenges that you encounter during this period.
