4th Annual Emergency Medical Services for Children Pediatric Symposium

The WV Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program is having its 4th Annual EMSC

Pediatric Symposium on November 15, 2016 at the RETI Training Center in Flatwoods, WV. This will be a

one-time offering, and registration will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Education and training for treating the pediatric patient is of the utmost importance. Participant space will be

limited to 150 Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Field Providers and hospital emergency department

personnel. The agenda is as follows:

12:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. LUNCH (on your own)

1:00 p.m. 1:50 p.m. Death Investigation of the Pediatric Patient Allen Mock, MD

1:50 p.m. 2:40 p.m. Performance Improvement and documentation when treating the Pediatric Patient David Kappel, MD Michael Mills, DO

2:40 p.m. 3:00 p.m. BREAK

Additional information will be sent out to EMS Field Providers via CIS and will be made available on the WVOEMS website. Continuing Education for EMS field providers and nursing is pending approval.
