Attached is the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the management of patients with confirmed or suspected swineorigin influenza A (H1N1) infection. The guidance outlines recommendations for EMS responders (including firefighters and law enforcement officers who respond to medical emergencies) and 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points when dealing with patients who may be infected or exposed to the H1N1 virus. Please take a few minutes and review this material and share with your staff and response partners.
