OEMS Recognition Awards

The Office of EMS is offering the opportunity to recognize hard-working individuals and/or organizations in their dedicated and outstanding efforts in the delivery of patient care in West Virginia. If you know of an individual and/or organization who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and compassion, and you would like to recognize their efforts, please complete the enclosed nomination form for one of the following categories:

Samuel L Channel Memorial Award for Excellence in EMS

History: This award may be attributed to an individual or group. This category pays tribute to an individual or group whose overall performance has contributed significantly to the delivery of emergency medical services.

Purpose: The Samuel W. Channell Memorial Award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated through his professional and personal life contributions that have been consistent and long lasting, representing in effect, a lifetime of outstanding service to the EMS profession.
The successful candidate should accurately reflect and represent the foresight, knowledge, and vision, as well as demonstrate the efforts and accomplishments of the man for whom the award was named.
