WVOEMS Paramedic Treatment Protocol 4903 - Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)

 

The WVOEMS Paramedic Treatment Protocol 4903 - Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
01272020 Ketamine Dosage/Treatment Revision has been reviewed and approved by the Medical Policy Care Committee (MPCC) and the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council (EMSAC).
Purpose:
•Ketamine should be added as an option to Section 4 of WVOEMS Protocol 4903as a preferred and/or optional sedative agent for RSI;
•Ketamine should be added as an option to Section 9 subsection A of WVOEMSProtocol 4903 for post intubation sedation.
In compliance with Legislative Rule 64 CSR48 9.1.b.2 a thirty-day public comment period will be in effect from February 10, 2020 through March 10, 2020. All comments must be submitted by 11:59 PM March 10, 2020 to:

This policy will become effective immediately following the thirty-day comment period on March 11, 2020.
