Relocation is not provided and travel is required frequently.

Overview
KCTCS System Office provides leadership, support and service for the operations and management of the entire system including community and technical colleges throughout the state. KCTCS, which includes 16 colleges and 68 campus locations, is the largest provider of post-secondary education and workforce training in the Commonwealth. The system currently provides affordable higher education to more than 100,000 students. KCTCS has over 11,000 full and part-time employees. KBEMS provides state-wide certification for first responders and emergency medical technicians (EMT’s), as well as licensure for paramedics and ambulance services for the state of Kentucky (KY). The open position, outlined below, is located in Versailles, Kentucky.

Job Skills/Requirements
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate the federally funded KY EMS for Children Program (EMSC). Provides organizational, grant and training support to state wide providers specific to the improvement of emergency care for children. This position is the sole contact for the program and is responsible for meeting the performance measures of the EMSC grant.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office are full-time term contract positions. This position is a federally grant funded position with an expectancy of three (3) years.

Required Competencies
Provides specialized training and workshops to EMS providers as needed.
Prepares grant requests, maintains budget (modifications and carryover, etc).
Prepares and provides reports at KBEMS meetings and as requested.
Provides expert guidance, interprets laws/regulations/polices and regulations as needed.
Reviews and analyzes impact of legislation/policy changes.
Maintains program materials and equipment.
Identifies and responds to grant opportunities.
Maintains contact with local and national organizations representing KBEMS.
Responds to inquiries, attends meetings, promotes public awareness opportunities.
Organizes and leads KYEMSC meetings, take minutes, and update/maintain the KYEMSC website.
Serves as advisor to hospitals and EMS agencies throughout the state.
Works with program medical experts to develop, writes and revises treatment protocols for care of children in emergency medical service (hospitals and mobile units, etc.).

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree and three years related work experience, or equivalent
KY paramedic license or the ability to become KY certified
Pediatric Emergency Pre-hospital Provider (PEPP) coordinator certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Preferred Requirements
o CPR certified
o Basic knowledge of child development abilities at different ages
