This year EMS week is May 21-27, with the theme:  Always in Service.  "EMS professionals provide service and compassion to their communities every minute of every day, and that's what this year's theme pays tribute to," says American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) President Dr. Rebecca Parker.  EMS week is part of the ongoing annual campaign - EMS Strong - presented by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)  in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).  The campaign is designed to strengthen the profession on a national level and expand and celebrate National EMS week.

In honor of all that you do every day, the EMS Advisory Council and OEMS requested that a subcommittee revive the awards program from years ago.  The subcommittee did a great job and we would like to start taking nominations for the following categories:

Paramedic of the Year

ACT of the Year

EMR of the Year

EMT of the Year

EMVO of the Year

Instructor of the Year

EMS Administrator of the Year

EMS Agency of the Year

Training Institute of the Year
