West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services

The Trauma and Emergency Medical Information System (TEMIS) is the information system developed and maintained by the Office to collect and maintain the necessary trauma and emergency care information to assure system quality and accountability, as well as to provide data for use in system design and operations. This system includes:

• The State Trauma Registry (STR)
• The State Medical Command Record (SMCR)
• The Electronic Patient Care Record (EPCR)

About CIS

As part of the new data system being utilized by the WV EMS System, each individual needs to update and maintain their personnel demographic information in the Credentialing Information System (CIS). This system is the primary source of information used by the WV Office of EMS to manage EMS personnel.
