Tasked with assisting EMS agencies and other public health entities in planning for and responding to disasters, MCIs, and special events
Responsible for managing the "Health Desk" in the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) 
and oversight/operation of the DHHR Disaster Network
Responsible for oversight of multiple grant programs:
- EMS-C
- MedCom EOC Grants
- HRSA Bio-terrorism
- Others
Develop/deliver multiple training programs around the state
- MCI
- ICS for EMS
- PDLS
- WMD Tech
- HazMat Ops
- Others
Represent DHHR at Homeland Security briefings
Participate in multiple planning initiatives:
- Public Health Response Plan
- Pandemic Flu
- SNS/Chempack
- Others
Serve as OEMS liaison to the WV State Fire Commission
Participate in the planning of several events throughout WV and provide members of the incident management structure as requested.
